A disastrous week was in store for Days of our Lives for the week, where it set multiple new series lows in the key demos, viewership, and household numbers. At this time last year, General Hospital was suffering through a ratings collapse week after week. Unlike Days of our Lives, which was renewed for only one more year on the air, General Hospital could be canceled at any time.
Speaking of General Hospital, it was the only soap that was up week to week in viewership, key demos, and in household numbers.
