TV Ratings 4/20/17: The Blacklist Returns With a Series Low, The Catch Gets Uglier (UPDATED)

Thursday night was pretty eventful, considering that only Fox aired their usual lineup. Grey's Anatomy was off on ABC, so Scandal aired a low-rated repeat that actually managed to tie The Catch, which hit a new ugly low of 0.6, which, unfortunately for ABC, was not even the lowest rated ABC drama of the week, despite hitting a 0.5 in its second half. It's lead-in, Scandal, was steady with last week. The CBS comedies took the night off. The Big Bang Theory repeated nicely again, tying for first with Scandal for the night. The (Not So) Great Indoors repeated pretty decently. The Amazing Race pulled double duty last night, up a bit at 9 but back down to 0.8 at 10 PM. Chicago Med on NBC took the night off, allowing for The Blacklist to have a two hour return. The first hour was steady with its last airing (which was also at 9), though the last hour was a series low 0.8, not improving the slot very much over its flop spin-off. Superstore was up a tenth after its low 0.8 from a few weeks ago, while Powerless was again stuck at 0.6. The CW's lineup was off for the night, and they instead aired a Supernatural repeat and a low-rated H1Z1 special, both at 0.2. Fox had their reality duo, and both bounced back a bit with lower competition.

Finals Update: All programs held their preliminary ratings.

TV Ratings 3/23/17: Superstore & Redemption Steady on NBC's Repeat Night, Scandal Hits New Low (UPDATED)

Thursday night was a mostly down night for ABC, with Grey's and Scandal both down a tenth, though The Catch managed to hold steady. CBS' was up a good deal from last week, averaging a 2.0 for the night and improving on last week's 1.3 average. NBC's Powerless again was preempted for a Trial & Error repeat, which was down from last week. Its lead in, Superstore, held steady with last week. NBC's only other original for the night, The Blacklist: Redemption, was also steady. Fox's lineup held steady with last week.

Finals Update: Repeats of Trial & Error (-0.1) and Supernatural (-0.1) adjusted down.

TV Ratings 3/16/17: Grey's Back at 2.0, Chicago Med Bounces Back (UPDATED)

Thursday night was a pretty good night for NBC and ABC, but not for Fox, The CW, or CBS, whose averages all went down for the night. CBS aired the NCAA Basketball Tournament, and it drew a 1.3 average for both games, an improvement over last week's second half, but down a good deal from the first half. NBC's Superstore returned to a 1.1, even with the last airing. It lead into a 0.8 repeat for Trial & Error. Chicago Med rebounded from last week's 1.1 to a 1.4, which helped Redemption tick up to a 0.8. Fox's Kicking & Screaming ticked down to a 0.6, below anything My Kitchen Rules ever did in the slot. ABC's Grey's Anatomy was back at a 2.0, while the Catch and Scandal held at last week's numbers. The CW had Vampire Diaries repeats at 0.2 and 0.1.

Finals Update: The Catch (-0.1), Blacklist: Redemption (-0.1), a repeat of The Vampire Diaries (-0.1) adjusted down.

TV Ratings 3/9/17: The Catch Returns Steady, Kicking & Screaming Premieres Low, Series Low for Scandal (UPDATED)

Thursday night was a pretty rough night for a lot of shows. ABC's The Catch premiered its second season with a 0.8, steady with its season one finale. Scandal dropped to a series low 1.4, while Grey's dipped below a 2.0 for the first time in 2017. On CBS, Mom beat the Great Indoors and won its time slot, something it has not done in awhile. Life in Pieces rose, while The Big Bang Theory and Training Day dipped. On Fox, new reality Kicking & Screaming premiered and tied the season low of My Kitchen Rules, while Masterchef Junior stayed steady. The CW's Supernatural dipped a tenth. On NBC, Powerless returned up a tenth, while Chicago Med and The Blacklist: Redemption both slipped without help from the Voice.

Finals Update: Mom (-0.1), Powerless (-0.1), Chicago Med (-0.1), and the Blacklist: Redemption (-0.1)
