Another year has come and gone, and so has another week on the streaming charts. It was a week with minimal debuts on Hulu, Disney+, Peacock, Paramount+ and HBO Max, and. few original episodes being released at all, as the streamers mostly took off the week between Christmas and New Year's and left that week firmly in the hands of their rival Netflix, as they finished off the final season o the phenomenon Stranger Things. Keep reading to see how the few shows that did air performed, and which shows began to slip from their spots at the top this week.
Hulu:

It was another fairly quiet week on Hulu, with The Kardashians again ruling the top spot for most of the week, with four days at #1. General Hospital also made a return trip to the #1 spot, while Percy Jackson & the Olympians hit #1 for the first time on Hulu, and Hell's Kitchen reached #1 for the first time this season, doing so only a few weeks after fellow Gordon Ramsay show Next Level Baker achieved the same. Speaking of Next Level Baker, the series managed to cling to the chart for the entire week again, starting the week at #5 and ending the week at #15. It was a good week for Fox overall, as Bob's Burgers also charted the whole week, peaking at #3. The Simpsons had its best showing of the season, peaking at #7 and charting three days. Krapopolis even managed to break onto the chart for one day at #14. Animal Control had a modest premiere on the chart, peaking at #4 but charting for only three days. ABC had little to offer this week. Besides daytime soap General Hospital, only their The Year: 2025 special cracked the top five this week, peaking at #3 and spending four days thus far on the chart. Abbott Elementary, 20/20 and High Potential both charted a few times, and so did news programs ABC World News Tonight and Good Morning America, which both air outside of primetime. Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve massively underperformed last year, when it hit #1 on the chart. It spent just a day on the chart this year, at just #13. Hulu originals The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, All's Fair and Tell Me Lies all charted this week, even though none have aired episodes all that recently.

Disney+:

While most other streamers continued familiar patterns this week, it was a week of big changes on Disney+. Both the TV and film charts saw major changes, with a new #1 on the TV chart and with the departure of most holiday films on the film chart. Taylor Swift: The End of an Era spent the majority of the week at #1, but it slipped to #2 on Thursday and hasn't been back to the top spot since, with Percy Jackson & the Olympians emerging as the top show on the service again. It's not exactly a shock - the Swift doc aired its final episodes last week, while Percy Jackson released a new episode this week, and will continue its run for most of January. Aside from those two shows, much of the chart was filled with kids TV programs: Blue remained at #3 all week, while Zootopia+ was at #5 for most of the week before sliding ahead of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, which had spent the rest of the week at #4. Mickey & Minnie's Holiday Songs: Christmas, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+, Little Angel, Super Kitties and Blip also charted for several days each (and some for the entire week). There were some options on the chart not geared towards kids, of course. All's Fair charted four days, Next Level Baker remained on the chart for six, ABC's The Year: 2025 special charted twice, as did their news special about the tragic death of Rob Reiner, which made its return to the chart briefly this week. On the movie chart, Home Alone started the week on top and ended it off the chart entirely. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York also managed to hit #1 this week for the first time this holiday season, before slipping off the chart entirely the next day. Avatar: The Way of Water was easily the top movie on the chart this week, with five days at #1. Avatar also spent the entire week on the chart, though it consistently trailed its sequel. The Santa Clause and Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas started out the week on the chart, and then departed a few days into the week. With Christmas films leaving the chart, recent Disney films like The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Freakier Friday and Thunderbolts returned to the chart this week, as did Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show, Spider Man: Across the Spider-Verse,, and most surprisingly, Hotel Transylvania 2.

Peacock:

At the end of last week, I mentioned that while new Peacock original thriller series The Copenhagen Test had barely cracked the chart on its first day, it was likely to still rise in the coming days, as that's the traditional trajectory of a new Peacock original. That's exactly what happened, and it happened fast. By the next day, The Copenhagen Test was #1 on Peacock, a spot it has yet to relinquish. It goes without saying that this is about the least-impressive point in time for a show to sweep the #1 spot - nothing's airing on NBC, there are no other Peacock originals airing new episodes, and even the competition from Bravo is somewhat muted. However, it's still as solid of a debut as you could expect from this show, chart-wise, because you can't go any higher than #1. The true show off its strength will be in how it holds up in the coming week, as it faces the returns of NBC hits like SVU, Chicago PD and St. Denis Medical, as well as The Traitors. Speaking of The Traitors, the show returns next week on Peacock, but it's already returned to the Peacock chart, entering at #9 on Friday and remaining on the chart on Saturday. NBC's only representation on the Peacock chart this week was Dateline, which ranged from #3 to #8 on the chart this week. Bel-Air remains on the chart, but its time there seems to be ending, as it spent much of the week at the #10 position. The CW's Supernatural continued to chart on Peacock this week, spending the majority of the week at #2. It occasionally was beaten by Vanderpump Rules, the top-performing show from Bravo this week. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills charted all week, while franchise offshoots in Salt Lake City and Potomac also landed on the chart several times, as did fellow Bravo series Below Deck Mediterranean and Married to Medicine.

Paramount+:

It was another predictable week on Paramount+, as Landman continued to dominate the streaming service, ranking #1 each day with minimal competition. Its closest rival was a show from the same creator, Mayor of Kingstown, which spent five days at #2 and dipped to #3 at its worst point. Landman and Kingstown were the only two shows on the chart that released new episodes this week, with other top performers being shows that haven't even aired in several weeks. South Park performed best o that group, peaking at #2 and dipping to #4 on the chart at its worst point. Tulsa King wasn't far off, peaking at #3 and slipping as low as #6 at its worst point, managing to beat South Park once. NCIS and Ghosts were the only ongoing CBS shows to chart the entire week, and the long-ended Everybody Loves Raymond and CBS-turned-Paramount+ original Criminal Minds also joined them on the chart through the week, as did kids cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants. The Neighborhood and FBI both charted a few days, and Fire Country charted once.

HBO Max:

Heated Rivalry has ended its first season, but it's still ruling the top spot on the HBO Max chart. The breakout hit, a Canadian import that HBO Max was lucky enough to get the rights to stateside, did not air a new episode this week, but nothing else really died, either, so its spot at the top of the chart was unchallenged. Things will change though towards the end of next week, as breakout hit The Pitt returns. That series has already returned to HBO Max's chart, spending three days on the chart this week and peaking as high as #2. IT: Welcome to Derry ended several weeks ago, but also remained towards the top o the chart consistently, slipping to #4 at its worst point this week. I Love LA, another scripted series that ended recently, looked more vulnerable than Heated Rivalry and IT, slipping out of the top ten at one point this week and only peaking at #5, as it clearly readies to depart the chart entirely, likely until its second season. It's Florida, Man was one of the few HBO series that aired this week, airing its second season finale this week and again charting all week, peaking at #3. HBO's Hard Knocks also aired and charted five days, peaking at #6. Mad Men continues its strong run on the HBO Max chart, charting all week between third and sixth place on the chart. The rest of the chart was unscripted cable series, including TLC's Baylen Out Loud and 90 Day Fiancé series, Magnolia Network's Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House, and ID's American Monster.
