Episode 5: "I've Done This Before"
FADE IN.
FADE IN.
EXT. CLINIC – NIGHT
The ground vibrates as the Other Elliot stands in the street, eyes glowing gold. The sky flickers, the air hums with an unnatural charge.
ELLIOT MARSH, JONAS KEENE, MARGOT VANCE, DR. SYLVIA LANG, and SHERIFF BILL HARLOW stand frozen.
OTHER ELLIOT (calmly)
You need to let it reset.
Elliot grips the journal tighter, his mind racing.
ELLIOT
I don’t think so.
The Other Elliot smirks. The golden glow in his eyes flares.
A shockwave rips through the street. The buildings distort and shift, like a film reel melting in the projector.
Jonas grabs Elliot’s arm and pulls him back.
JONAS
Run. Now!

EXT. ALLEYWAY – NIGHT
The group ducks into a narrow alley, pressing against the walls as the town flickers.
Margot pulls out her notebook, flipping through pages of drawings of Sunset Valley shifting, breaking apart.
MARGOT
The reset’s happening faster. We don’t have much time.
Sylvia kneels, drawing something in the dirt—a symbol. A spiral with a line through it.
Elliot crouches beside her.
ELLIOT
What is that?
SYLVIA
A marker. I don’t know why, but every time the loop resets, this symbol stays. Like a… a breadcrumb left behind.
Jonas glances around the corner. The Other Elliot is gone.
But something else is moving toward them.
A FIGURE in the distance, walking slowly.
SHERIFF HARLOW
Someone’s coming.
JONAS
Who?
The figure steps into the glow of a streetlamp.
It’s someone they know.
DR. SYLVIA LANG.
Another Sylvia.
Elliot stares, horrified.
ELLIOT
No.
The Other Sylvia tilts her head, her expression eerily neutral.
OTHER SYLVIA
I told you. You can’t stop it.
The real Sylvia grips Elliot’s wrist, panicked.
SYLVIA
I swear, I don’t know what’s happening.
The Other Sylvia smirks.
OTHER SYLVIA
Yes, you do.
The ground shudders. The buildings flicker. The town glitches, distorting like a corrupted file.
Jonas steps forward, fists clenched.
JONAS
Who are you?
The Other Sylvia exhales.
OTHER SYLVIA
I’m the one who helps it reset.
Margot’s eyes widen.
MARGOT
You’re the accomplice.
Sylvia shakes her head, backing away.
SYLVIA
No. No, that’s not true.
OTHER SYLVIA
Isn’t it?
She raises a hand. The symbol Sylvia drew in the dirt glows—then vanishes.
Sylvia gasps as if something was just ripped from her mind.
Jonas grabs her shoulder.
JONAS
Sylvia?
Sylvia stumbles, blinking rapidly.
Elliot steps forward, jaw clenched.
ELLIOT
Tell me the truth. What do you know?
Sylvia’s hands shake. The town rumbles again.
SYLVIA (softly)
I… I think I’ve done this before.
The Other Sylvia smiles.
OTHER SYLVIA
Now you’re starting to remember.
Elliot’s breath catches.
The ground beneath them CRACKS.
A deep, golden light spills through the fissures.
Then—the street COLLAPSES beneath them.
CUT TO BLACK.
