Ratings Analysis: The first Sunday after the Super Bowl is usually uneventful for broadcast, but NBC made sure that was not the case this year. SNL50: The Anniversary Special put up a staggering 2.17 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic and was viewed by over 13 million in total. Though this is a far cry from SNL40's 7.8 rating, it goes down as a major feat for a television broadcast in 2025. Earlier in the night, the SNL50 red carpet special (0.87) also posted a strong rating. On Fox, NASCAR (1.07) bled into prime time, meaning the season premieres of Family Guy (0.27) and Grimsburg (0.14) were booted into the 10 p.m. hour. On CBS, Tracker (0.36, -0.17), Watson (0.26, -1.34), and The Equalizer (0.23, -0.03) all had rather sluggish returns.
