David E. Kelley Pilot The Lincoln Lawyer Passed on by CBS

David E. Kelley drama pilot The Lincoln Lawyer, based on the book series by Michael Connelly, won't be moving forward. The books had previously been adapted as a film starring Matthew McConaughey and Marisa Tomei. The pilot is the first of the season to be passed on. It had a massive series production commitment, meaning that CBS will likely pay a penalty for passing on the pilot.
