NBC has canceled Powerless after one season. This doesn't come as a shock, the series was preempted twice for repeats of Trial & Error. Afterward, the series was officially pulled off the schedule after airing nine episodes and replaced with repeats of Superstore. The series was the lowest-rated show on the network and fell to a meager 0.6 in the 18-49 ratings for its latest episode. The comedy series followed Emily Locke as the Director of Research & Development at Wayne Security. Locke was played by Vanessa Hudgens.
