Can't get enough of Chicago Fire and Chicago PD? Only weeks before Chicago Med's November 17 premiere, NBC has announced it has ordered pilots for Chicago Vice and Chicago Christian, two installments which explore both the light and dark undertones of the Chicago culture. Per NBC Chairman Bob Greenblatt, Mo'Nique has committed to starring in Vice as Red Velvet Cake, the lead madame in a massage parlor/brothel, working to keep
her ladies off drugs and out of the clutches of sleazy pimp Lester Gibbons (Steve Buscemi). Also in talks with the network is Fred Armisen as Dante LoCicero, the city's leading drug kingpin converging on Red Vel and Lester's underhanded trades.
While an inconceivable power struggle appears to be the premise for Vice, Chicago Christian's tone is rather united as a Christian missionaries work to heal the blighted elements of America's Windy City. Already signed is soap actress Victoria Rowell as Dreama Biggs, a fallen actress who was blacklisted from her industry as her show was primarily composed of atheists. Also cast is Nancy Lee Grahn as Penny Lowder, a stern and rigid missionary determined to take to the streets and fight sin and vice. Greenblatt has confirmed he expects several crossovers among the five series if the pilots are picked up for the upcoming 2016-17 season.
