Welcome to First Week Peak, a column which discusses shows that are about to premiere on Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Paramount+, HBO Max, Peacock, Hulu, and/or Apple TV. Each discussion concludes with a prediction for the show's weekly peak performance on their respective streaming service's U.S. trending chart, including a reader poll. All Attention Scores come from Television Stats as of October 15, 2026. Final results can be found in our weekly What's Trending On Streaming column. Let us know what you think in the comments!
Streaming Premieres
After a busy week last week crowded with premieres, only three streaming services will premiere shows this coming week. Most notably, Prime Video is bringing back The Terminal List for a second season after a four-year hiatus. The show has already spawned a prequel miniseries 2025's The Terminal List: Dark Wolf during the lengthy hiatus. The Terminal List racked up over 1 billion minutes viewed within its first month back in July 2022, and held a 5.0 Attention Score on October 15 according to Television Stats. While a #1 debut is predicted, it will have to surpass Prime Video's popular new miniseries Carrie to do so.
Netflix is bringing romantic comedy Nobody Wants This back for a third season this coming week. The second season did top Netflix's Top 10 chart, and holds a respectable-enough 3.6 Attention Score. Both are indicators that Nobody Want This will likely see a strong chart debut. However, the series is not quite the staple on Netflix's roster that it may need to be to earn a fourth season.
The one series premiere in this trio is the comedy mystery series Phony on Hulu. The series is entirely a Hulu original, not part of the FX on Hulu brand that many of the streaming service's recent premieres hold. It's been a long road for Phony, which was first developed in 2022 and now will have to compete with ABC's roster and originals Reasonable Doubt and The Kardashians if it wants to vie for a #1 debut.
Broadcast Premieres
At this point, most shows on the broadcast networks' fall schedules have already premiered. Two that have not are NBC's Friday night sitcoms Happy's Place and Newlyweds. The former is returning for its third season, the latter is about to make its series premiere, and both will stream on Peacock.
