Ratings Analysis: How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (0.41) was back for its annual broadcast on NBC but was down by about 25% in the Adults 18-49 demographic when compared to its November 2022 telecast (0.55). At 8:30, Shrek the Halls (0.36) looked rather solid for its debut on the peacock network. Shrek was just 0.03 lower than its last ABC broadcast from 2021 (0.39). Transplant (0.15) continued to be ratings poison at 9, while Dateline (0.18) did its best to grow from it at 10. On ABC, The Golden Bachelor (0.80, +0.15) exploded to a new series high for its season finale and comfortably topped the night. In the 10 p.m. hour, Bachelor in Paradise (0.34, -0.02) did not benefit at all from the Golden growth and actually declined a bit. Hell's Kitchen (0.38, +0.04) was up on Fox, but LEGO Masters held steady and posted its third-straight 0.23. On CBS, the UK Ghosts (0.18/0.19) came back down to Earth after last week's football-inflated ordeal (0.66/0.52). CBS also offered reruns of Young Sheldon (0.26), American Ghosts (0.19), and SEAL Team (0.16). Son of a Critch (0.04, -0.04) and Children Ruin Everything (0.03, -0.04) crashed on the CW. Repeats of Whose Line (0.06) and The Great American Joke-Off (0.04) occupied the 9 p.m. hour.
