CBS has issued its first renewal of the 2019-20 season, with newbie drama Evil scoring an order for season two. It will join Mom and Young Sheldon next season on the Eye network, meaning that much of the network's Thursday lineup has been renewed just a month into the season. The supernatural drama series created by Robert and Michelle King has aired just four epsidoes so far and is averaging a 0.6, putting it in the bottom half of the new series this year, though it airs in a harder slot than most. Last Thursday, the series hit a new high of 0.7, holding 100% of its Carol's Second Act lead-in. The show will run for thirteen episodes for its first season, just like the first renewed new show of season, Bless The Harts. Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Michael Emerson and Christine Lahti star in the series.
