'The Carmichael Show' Canceled By NBC After 3 Seasons



NBC has canceled The Carmichael Show after three seasons. The series followed Jerrod Carmichael and the rest of his family as they took on controversial topics through humor. The cast was made up of Jerrod Carmichael, playing himself, Amber Stevens West, Lil Rel Howery, Tiffany Haddish, Loretta Devine, and David Alan Grier. There were talks about the series being in renewal limbo due to cast options expiring, and things ended up not working out due to Jerrod Carmichael leaving the series. This ultimately sealed its fate. The latest season of The Carmichael Show is currently averaging a 0.8 in the 18-49 demographic.
