This week, a change from last week has taken the headline. Not as much aired on ABC this week, with the Tuesday line-up, Speechless, and Modern Family taking the week off, but the Wednesday ratings were interesting, with the unusual line-up.

Kevin Probably Saves the World: As I noted last week, ABC is no longer supporting Kevin Probably like they were before. This week, a Match Game rerun aired in its timeslot instead of a rerun of the show itself. Things aren't looking good for the dramedy.
American Housewife: This show showed how it can do well in circumstances that aren't as easy as it has been given regularly this season. This week, it aired an episode at 8:30 in addition to its regular 9:30 episode. Also, Modern Family was a rerun. At 8:30, between The Goldbergs (1.7) and the Modern rerun (1.0), American Housewife scored a 1.4, a slightly above average rating. At 9:30, not only did American Housewife avoid creating a new season low, but it also avoided tying it's current one, growing a tenth from its lead-in to a 1.1. This shows the strength of the series, proving why it is certain to be renewed.
Speechless: With American Housewife tying Speechless's season high in its timeslot this week, without an original Modern Family as a lead-out, it is obvious that ABC can do better in this timeslot. If renewed, I am sure that Speehless will move. But will Speechless be renewed? How satisfied is ABC with its performance?
