Preliminary Analysis: CBS's Friday-night drama lineup got off to a rocky start as 'SWAT' (0.4), 'Magnum PI' (0.4), and 'Blue Bloods' (0.4) all tied their respective lows for their season debuts. Though 'SWAT' matched what it garnered for its year-ago return, 'Magnum' and 'Blue Bloods' were both a tenth short of where they began in fall 2020. ABC's '50 Years of Walt Disney World' special (0.5) actually managed to eclipse the eye network's drama premieres but '20/20' (0.3) fell a good bit from there at 10. Fox's 'WWE Smackdown' (0.6) was the top program as it often is, continuing to outperform the majority of the network's scripted offerings. NBC had a rerun of 'La Brea' (0.2) and a stable edition of 'Dateline' (0.4). The season premiere of 'Penn & Teller: Fool Us' (0.1) was at its normal level on the CW. 'Dynasty' (0.0) was flat in no man's land for its finale.
Finals Update: 'The Most Magical Story on Earth' (+0.1), 'Blue Bloods' (+0.1), and the repeat of 'La Brea' (+0.1) adjusted up.
