Valentine's Day 2018 wasn't a great one for broadcast. How so? Well, take a look at the ratings. The Olympics on NBC took a hit of over a point, down to 4.0 from Tuesday's 5.2. It's still more than enough to be #1, but the drop is still a huge one. CBS was the only other network to air originals all night long, and things didn't go great there, either. Celebrity Big Brother wasn't affected by the negative trend for the rest of broadcast, and it held steady. However, The Amazing Race sank behind it, down into fractionals for the first time this season. 0.8 is a disappointing rating after the incredible start to the season, but it's pretty understandable given the circumstances. Match Game was the only other original on broadcast last night, and its ratings were quite scary, down a tenth to a series low 0.5. Before it, ABC had repeats at mostly 0.6, with a 0.5 for Speechless. Fox had OK-rated repeats of The Resident and 9-1-1. The CW had pitifully-rated Valentine's specials at 0.2.
Finals Update: The Amazing Race (+0.1) adjusted up. The American Housewife repeat (-0.1) adjusted down.
