CBS's Big Brother (1.02, +0.66) exploded to its highest rating in years for its season finale, retaining a solid chunk of the NFL-inflated 60 Minutes premiere (1.37) that led into it. On the Fox premiere front, The Simpsons (0.27) was up markedly from its depressed spring levels, but Universal Basic Guys (0.17) returned with a new series low. Krapopolis (0.12) fell off dramatically from there, but Bob's Burgers (0.16) brought back some viewers at 9:30. ABC aired the premiere of America's Funniest Home Videos (0.26) and the film Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 (0.12). NBC's Packers v. Cowboys NFL game (5.89) topped the night.
