Sunday TV Ratings 6/15/25: Underdogs Strong for ABC Airing, US Open Easily Leads, Rick & Morty and Last Week Tonight Rise [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: America's Funniest People (0.28) performed well on ABC, and the broadcast preview of Underdogs (0.31) posted an even better rating at nine. On NBC, the US Open (0.96) nearly broke the 1.0 barrier in the Adults 18-49 demographic, topping the night as a result. That helped inflate a rerun of American Ninja Warrior (0.42), but the boost wore off by the time an encore of America's Got Talent (0.20) aired. CBS aired reruns of 60 Minutes (0.25/0.33) and A Grammy Salute to The Beach Boys (0.16). Fox aired the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup (0.27) and IndyCar Racing (0.20). The CW went with The Proposal (0.05) as their movie of the week. Key: (R) = repeat.

Sunday TV Ratings 6/8/25: Tony Awards Soar to Seven-Year High, NBA Finals Dip Further, Rick & Morty Hits Series Low [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: The Tony Awards posted a massive 0.86 rating on CBS, more than doubling last June's ceremony (0.41) in the Adults 18-49 demographic. Game two of the NBA Finals (2.48, -0.11) was a tenth below game one on ABC. Repeats of Destination X (0.15) and SNL50 (0.14) aired on NBC. Fox's UFL broadcast (0.20) did relatively well, but a 9:30 p.m. rerun of Going Dutch (0.04) was Sunday night's lowest-rated program among the five broadcast networks, even going below the CW's repeat of Whose Line (0.05) and Back to the Future (0.12). Key: (R) = repeat.

Sunday TV Ratings 6/1/25: Duck Dynasty: The Revival Draws Modest Sampling, MLB Tops the Night, Rick & Morty and Real Housewives of Atlanta Rise [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: Adult Swim's Rick & Morty (0.18, +0.03) built on last week's premiere, and the revival of Duck Dynasty (0.10) had a passable start on A&E. Sunday TV Ratings 2/16/25: SNL 50 Anniversary Special Dominates, Watson Flatlines in Time Slot Debut, The White Lotus Returns Up from Season 2 Premiere [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: The first Sunday after the Super Bowl is usually uneventful for broadcast, but NBC made sure that was not the case this year. SNL50: The Anniversary Special put up a staggering 2.17 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic and was viewed by over 13 million in total. Though this is a far cry from SNL40's 7.8 rating, it goes down as a major feat for a television broadcast in 2025. Earlier in the night, the SNL50 red carpet special (0.87) also posted a strong rating. On Fox, NASCAR (1.07) bled into prime time, meaning the season premieres of Family Guy (0.27) and Grimsburg (0.14) were booted into the 10 p.m. hour. On CBS, Tracker (0.36, -0.17), Watson (0.26, -1.34), and The Equalizer (0.23, -0.03) all had rather sluggish returns. ABC went with encores of America's Funniest Home Videos (0.28) and Shifting Gears (0.14/0.13/0.12/0.11/0.11/0.13). The CW aired the film Talladega Nights (0.03). Key: (P) = premiere. (R) = repeat.
