A little over two months after its season one debut, #blackAF has been renewed for a second season by Netflix. Created by Black-ish head Kenya Barris, the sitcom centers on a wealthy black family attempting to figure things out in a modern world. Barris plays a fictional version of himself in the series. Rashida Jones takes on the role of his biracial wife Joya. Iman Benson, Genneya Walton, Scarlet Spencer, Justin Claiborne, and Ravi Cabot-Conyers make up the rest of the cast. All eight episodes of #blackAF's first season were released on April 17, 2020. This news comes on the heels of Barris's other program Mixed-ish being renewed by ABC for a second season.
