FADE IN:
INT. STARSHIP - MEMORY BANK CONTROL ROOM - AFTERNOON
Eli and Wyatt sit in the Memory Bank as Eli types eagerly on
a massive holographic computer displaying various camera
footage. Wyatt clearly would rather be anywhere else.

WYATT
So, isn’t everyone suppose to jump
out and yell surprise at a birthday
party?

ELI
Never said this was a party.

WYATT
Yeah, and you also never told me
what we were doing here.

ELI
You’ll see.

WYATT
When?

Eli quickly types in a final few pieces of data.

ELI
Right now.
CLOSE ON THE SCREEN: A file entitled “Starship Resident
Master List” opens. There are thousands of names that pop up.

WYATT
What’s this?

ELI
It’s about time you knew how
everything really works around
here.

WYATT
What do you mean?

ELI
This isn’t just a list of who is on
the ship and who isn’t. It does a
little more than that.

WYATT
(hesitant)
Ok...

ELI
About a year or so ago, when
conditions on the Lower Level got
really dire, the Elders decided we
needed a way to make sure if things
ever got really bad, we could
handle it.

WYATT
Handle it how? You’re not making
any sense.

ELI
You know how every year all the
residents are required to go in the
Medical Bay for a routine check up?
You know, make sure their bodies
are handling space fine and all?

WYATT
Yes...

ELI
The Elders had a solution. A
solution to anyone who may act out
beyond our control.

WYATT
What was that?
.
ELI
Last year, for everyone’s check up,
we required they get a shot. Doctor
Gold told them it was for Gamma
Rays we were passing through at the
time.

WYATT
And it wasn’t.

ELI
Right. The shot planted a chip in
everyone. Nothing dangerous.

WYATT
So, what does the chip do? Track
them? Dispense medicine?

ELI
They act as a control switch. A
control switch that would only be
used if it was for the greater
good.

WYATT
What do you mean control switch?
How would that even work?

ELI
It’s not as crazy as you’re
thinking. All the chip does is
allow us to make little adjustments
to the mind if worse ever comes to
worse.

WYATT
So you’re mind controlling an
entire colony?
.
ELI
Of course not. The Elders make sure
the chips are only used when it is
really serious and would only help
the ship.

WYATT
Ok.

ELI
So this doesn’t bother you?

WYATT
Listen, I’ve heard a lot of
whispers about things that go on at
your level and with the Elders. I’m
not surprised. I know you all think
I’m just a messenger and someone to
give out orders. I’m not as stupid
as you think. I just want to know
why you feel the need to tell me
this all of a sudden.

ELI
Things on Starship are going to be
really different, really soon.

WYATT
So everyone keeps telling me.

ELI
And I wanted you to know that we
have this resource.

WYATT
If?

ELI
If something goes wrong, I don’t
want you to worry... We can rewrite
history.

CUT TO:
INT. STARSHIP - WEIGHT ROOM - AFTERNOON
Meridian is in a crowded weight room, shirtless, using one of
the machines. He is approached by Annica.

ANNICA
Taking the day off?
Meridian stops using the machine and sits up to speak with
Annica.

MERIDIAN
I sure am.

ANNICA
Yeah, well, vacation’s over.

MERIDIAN
Excuse me?

ANNICA
We got a job for you. One that
needs immediate attention.
Meridian sighs.

MERIDIAN
What’s that?

ANNICA
I know Wyatt has tasked you with
upping the security on Starship
already.

MERIDIAN
Yes, he has.

ANNICA
So then you’ll be able to handle
this next task with little
difficulty.

MERIDIAN
What is it?

ANNICA
We need you to upgrade the ship’s
Weapon Room and the equipment.

MERIDIAN
I know I’m not supposed to ask
questions, but is that really
necessary? It’s not like we’re
going into war. We don’t need to be
prepared for it.

ANNICA
Let us worry about that. We need to
be prepared for anything and
everything. And it’s your job to
make that happen. Am I clear?

Meridian knows he cannot win this battle. He sighs, defeated.

MERIDIAN
Crystal.

ANNICA
Good.

Annica lingers, taking a moment to look at Meridian. With a
sly smile, she...

ANNICA (CONT'D)
Keep up the good work.

Meridian and Annica share a tense smile before Annica quickly
walks out.

CUT TO:
INT. STARSHIP - COMMONS - MOMENTS LATER
Annica walks briskly through the crowded common room.
Hundreds of residents of the ship frolic about, eating,
dancing, playing, walking in and out of various shops and
eateries.

With a sudden motion, she stops and grabs her head. She
winces. Something is wrong.

ANNICA
I need a day off.

She takes a minute to compose herself before continuing about
her way. She makes it to the edge of the common room and gets
into an elevator to take her to the next floor.

CUT TO:
INT. STARSHIP - COMMON ROOM ELEVATOR - CONTINUOUS
Annica slouches against the wall in the elevator. She pulls
out her phone and begins to make a call. Before she can
finish, she suddenly grabs her head again and winces. A
moment later she passes out on the floor of the elevator.

CUT TO:
DREAM SEQUENCE
INT. STARSHIP - POD ROOM - NIGHT
We’ve seen this before. Last episode, actually. We pick up
exactly where we last saw Annica in the previous episode’s
dream.

Annica looks at the room filled with hundreds of people in
pods in horror. She slowly backs up, terrified and not
knowing what to think.

In an instant, she runs to the door of the room, and tries to
get it to open. It doesn’t. She bangs on the door.

ANNICA
Help! Someone, help me! I’m locked
in here.

There’s no answer. She continues to bang on the door, until
she hears something.

Annica turns around to see a man (20s) standing directly
behind her. She screams, startled. The man places a finger on
her mouth, reassuring her and hushing her.

ANNICA (CONT'D)
Where did you come from?

The man points to the pods.

MAN
Don’t trust anyone. The ship isn’t
what you think it is and Eli isn’t
who he pretends to be.

ANNICA
Huh?

MAN
Starship has a much greater
purpose. This is not all for a new
colony. Open your eyes and soon
you’ll see the truth. Forget the
past, remember the future.

Annica has no idea what this guy is talking about.

ANNICA
What?

FLASH CUT TO:
INT. STARSHIP - ANNICA’S ROOM - EVENING
END DREAM SEQUENCE
Annica lies in bed with Eli sitting by her side. She wakes
up, ending the dream, confused.

ELI
You’re awake.

ANNICA
What happened?

ELI
You passed out. I found you in the
elevator a couple hours ago.

ANNICA
Wha-are you sure? I don’t remember
that. I was just...in a room. There
was this strange man, he...

ELI
It was probably a dream. You’ve
been out like a light for hours
now. You work too much. Exhaustion.
Remembering what the man said...

ANNICA
I guess... I guess you’re right.

ELI
I’m just glad you’re okay.
Eli places a kiss on Annica’s forehead as we

CUT TO:
INT. STARSHIP - SUN ROOM - EVENING
The Sun Room is crowded. People lie about under the fake sun,
tanning and relaxing. Davis stands at the back of the room by
the door, impatiently waiting for someone. Just then, the
doors open and Meridian runs in.

DAVIS
Where have you been? Wyatt will be
gone soon. I’ve been waiting for
you to get here for hours.

MERIDIAN
Yeah, I know. I got assigned this
big new project just today and I
had to make a dent in it or else.

DAVIS
Ok, whatever. Let’s just get down
to business.

Wyatt lies under the sun shirtless and tanning with
sunglasses on. Davis and Meridian strip down to a bathing
suit and approach him.

WYATT
You’re blocking my sun. Move.

DAVIS
We just have a few questions for
you.

WYATT
I have office hours. Please use
them.

DAVIS
We won’t keep you long.
Wyatt takes off his glasses and looks at Davis and Meridian,
disgusted, but not wanting to fight...

WYATT
Fine. Make it quick. What is it you
need? Upgrade on your cards? A new
job? What is it?

MERIDIAN
So, the other day I was doing
maintenance in the Cyber Deck.
Checking on the regular stuff.

WYATT
Yes?

MERIDIAN
And I noticed the strangest thing.

WYATT
What’s that?

MERIDIAN
The security footage for the past
few weeks is all gone.

WYATT
What’s your point? I have nothing
to do with security. It’s below my
pay grade.

DAVIS
We know. But, the last person we
saw in several days of footage was
you. That’s strange isn’t it?

WYATT
Like I said, I have nothing to do
with that. And it’s not wise for
you to question me.

DAVIS
It’s no secret Starship has been
experiencing a lot of weird
phenomenon lately.
The murder of that poor kid that
just got dropped from the news
sites and everyone’s minds, the
weird hacking on movie night...

MERIDIAN
People not remembering periods of
time, the improvements you had me
make, among many other things, and
now the security footage. With you.
It’s all very weird.

WYATT
Yeah. It is. Too bad I know nothing
about it.

DAVIS
I find that hard to believe. You
don’t have the best record or the
cleanest slate. You only have the
job you do because of your last
name.

WYATT
Final time. I have nothing to do
with the periods of time your
“friend” gets drunk and can’t
remember where he went.

MERIDIAN
It’s just that...

Wyatt is fed up with the questions. Having had enough, he
cuts Meridian off.

WYATT
I said that was it. Whenever you
think you disappear or when you
think someone you know has
disappeared for a period of time,
nothing bad is happening.

DAVIS
How can you be so sure?

WYATT
Trust me on this. If anything,
you’ll be grateful.

MERIDIAN
Grateful for what? What are you
talking about?

WYATT
Now stop asking questions. Or
you’ll forget yourselves too.

Wyatt gets up and storms out the room, leaving Davis and
Meridian confused.

CUT TO:
INT. STARSHIP - SCHOOL WING - EVENING

WINTER
Nik, please, this isn’t funny
anymore. Please call me back!

She hangs up the phone. Winter is coming out of her
classroom. She locks the door and begins walking down the
dark hallway. As she is walking we begin hearing a separate
set of footsteps. She stops. She looks over her shoulder and
does not see anything. She continues walking and the second
set of footsteps resumes. She begins walking faster down the
hallway. So does the other person.

She reaches the elevator at the end of the hallway and bangs
on the button. It’s taking a few seconds to come.

WINTER (CONT'D)
Come on, come on. Hurry!

Just as the elevator door is about to open we see from behind
Winter a figure grab her. She screams.

The figure puts a cloth over her mouth as she continues to
struggle. Her struggling slowly gets weaker and weaker as her
eyes flutter closed and she drops to the floor.

CUT TO:
INT. STARSHIP - WYATT’S ROOM - NIGHT
Wyatt enters his room coming back from the sun room. He looks
exhausted. Miranda is sitting on his bed watching television.

MIRANDA
You look exhausted. Was the sun
that hot tonight?

WYATT
I wouldn’t know.

MIRANDA
Why? Didn’t you just go to the Sun
Room?

WYATT
Yeah, I did. But it got ruined by
these two idiots who tried to
accuse me of something ridiculous.

MIRANDA
Were they part of the Night? I’ve
heard those creeps are really
messed up.

WYATT
I don’t know. They sure were
persistent, I’ll give them that.
Wyatt sits on the bed and lies next to Miranda, who gives him
a hug.

MIRANDA
Well, for what it’s worth, I’m
sorry your night was ruined.

WYATT
It’s fine. I guess I should be used
to things like this.

MIRANDA
Well, maybe there’s a way I can
help you relax.

WYATT
I don’t feel like going all the way
down to the Sun Room or the pool.
I’ll probably just call it a night.
Miranda puts her hand on Wyatt’s leg.

MIRANDA
Are you sure there’s nothing I can
do for you?

Wyatt playfully eyes Miranda catching her drift. There’s a
moment that they gaze deep into each other’s eyes. In an
instant, Wyatt pulls Miranda on top of him and the two begin
kissing.

As things get more heated, we
CUT TO:
INT. STARSHIP - DAVIS’ ROOM - NIGHT
Davis and Meridian sit on Davis’ bed. Davis is eagerly typing
on a holographic computer.

MERIDIAN
So, you going to sleep anytime
soon?

DAVIS
Yeah, in a bit.

MERIDIAN
What, still upset about how tonight
went with Wyatt? ‘Cause I’d say it
went well. We got something out of
him, which is better than nothing.

DAVIS
No, it’s not that.

Meridian peaks onto Davis’ screen. He sees Davis working on
decoding an audio clip entitled “Elders’ Room Audio”.

MERIDIAN
Did you plant a bug in the Elders’
Level?

DAVIS
Yeah. It’s what Kai was doing when
he went missing.

MERIDIAN
And you’re just now listening to
the clip?

DAVIS
I’m just now getting passed Kai’s
passwords. You wanna listen?

MERIDIAN
Yeah, play it.

Davis plays the clip. From the clip, we hear loud gibberish.
It almost sounds like talking, except it’s not in English. We
can make out the word “Prometheus”, but that’s it. The clip
ends.

MERIDIAN (CONT'D)
What the hell was that?

CUT TO:
INT. STARSHIP - WYATT’S ROOM - THE NEXT MORNING
It’s the next morning. Miranda and Wyatt lie in bed under the
covers. Wyatt is asleep while Miranda is awake. She looks
over at Wyatt to make sure he’s still asleep. She slowly gets
out of bed and walks over to his desk.

She searches through several files throughout his desk before
pulling out one labeled “KEYCARD LOG”. She searches through
the log file before pulling out a single paper from it.

MIRANDA
The night Maxx died.

CUT TO:
INT. STARSHIP - WINTER’S ROOM - MORNING
We cut to Winter’s room. She lies in bed asleep. She wakes up
peacefully.

She pulls out her phone to find several missed calls and
texts.

WINTER
Wow, I guess I must’ve had a little
too much to drink last night.

Winter gets out of bed and begins getting ready for her day.
Unfazed by her attack? Or does she even remember it?

CUT TO BLACK.
